Pumpkin Seed Oil is the next best Coconut Oil

Skincare Research

No, it isn't time for carving the jack-o-lanterns yet, but there is always, always room for pumpkin around here. Pumpkin seed oil is not spoken of much in skincare, but it sure does pack some wonderful benefits. In fact, it is fast becoming one of our favorite oils here at Second Spring Naturals.

Pumpkin seed oil is actually one of the most nutrient-dense oils out there. It contains so many good-for-you things like: fatty acids, antioxidants, Vitamins A, E and C, zinc and so many more vitamins and minerals. It is used all over the world, whether one is cooking with it or using it in holistic practice.

Even though pumpkin seed oil might be the next coconut oil, and it is always better to absorb nutrients by eating them, don't replace those kitchen oils just yet....because all of the goodies in this oil are reduced in terms of nutritional content and value when cooked. Bummer.

The good news is, you can eat it raw, and put it on your skin.

We like to do both.  And while we can't come make you a raw pumpkin appetizer, we can help you out in the skincare area. Give it a try. Let us know what you think.

Our botanical pump lotion returns soon! And you'll never guess what's in it.
